Domain Registration
Friday, February 8, 2008Hello and thanks for all your great work with Smorty.
There have been some recent changes that search engines have made with regard to sponsored postings.
Smorty would like to offer you some advice on this issue. search engines have primarily targeted member blogs and reduced their Page ranks across the board. Although this WILL NOT REDUCE your rankings or readership, your blog will receive more campaign offers if it has a higher page rank. To prevent any future loss of page rank due to this issue you can take the following steps:
1. Remove all sponsored post tags on each of your posts. Search engines can follow these tags to determine if you are being paid for posts.
2. Remove any other tags like "hire me" and "review me". Any general affiliate banners are fine to keep.

Online review site
Smorty has very strict rules about duplicate content. If you submit a post which is not uniquely written by you, your blog(s) will be banned permanently.
** Submitting just the link to be able to get the same post for your second blog is not fair for other bloggers and against our rules. Your blog(s) will be banned when you get caught.
Possible causes of post submission errors
1. There must only be one link to the advertisers site in your blog post.
2. The link must be on the anchor text provided by the advertiser. with no additional punctuation e.g. !
3. The link must be created using the code Smorty provided you.
4. The URL of the page you are submitting confirmation with must include the exact domain address you signed up to Smorty with. e.g. http://www.domain.com/smortypost.html is different to http://domain.com/smortypost.html because it is missing the www.
5. Check the bottom left corner of your internet browser to see if there is an error on the page of your post.
